The Country Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the implementation of country-level activities. S/he will establish and maintain systems for national project operations; coordinate and maintain working relationships with project stakeholders (including ministries, high-level government officials, labor unions, private sector partners); and collaborate to improve government capacity. This may include, but is not limited to the following:
Successful candidates will have strong management skills as well as relevant experience implementing programs to combat child labor and increase government capacity. Specific experience and specialization in at least two of the following is required: child labor, safe work for youth, legal reform and policy advocacy, child protection and referral mechanisms, public education/awareness (including work with the media), government capacity building, and/or monitoring & evaluation of child labor programs. Significant project management experience and leadership is highly desired.
