Description of Job Duties:

  • Implements livelihood and food projects, ensuring food and livelihoods programs meet all key objectives.
  • Manages and mentors staff, including Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) staff, agriculture and livelihood specialists, distribution teams, and security personnel.
  • Supervises contractors, employees, and temporary laborers to ensure equity and quality standards are met.
  • Advises in the negotiation of contracts with contractors.
  • Identifies and designs ideas to further livelihood and agricultural programming in the area.
  • Coordinates with logistics for procurement, warehousing, and delivery.
  • Stewards the budget faithfully in accordance with Samaritan’s Purse and external donor finance protocols.
  • Ensures accountability, adequate reporting, and grant compliance.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, with a degree in agriculture, development, business, logistics, or other related field. Additionally, one to two years of related experience and/or training required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred.
  • Experience designing and/or managing agriculture and livelihoods programs in the Middle East.
  • Experience working with distributions and cash programming strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of livelihood interventions, particularly agricultural.
  • Team management experience.
  • Project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience working and living overseas (Middle East context preferred).
  • Fluent spoken and written English required; Arabic language proficiency preferred.
  • Strong relational skills and financial management experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate and interact well with people of different educational, linguistic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
