If so, Bluesquare is looking for a COO/CFO to lead from its Brussels’ office the operations of the company and be part of the management team. You will report directly to the CEO and supervise a current team of 4 people. You will work in close collaboration with the CTO and Program Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • You will oversee the day to day operations of the company (finance, HR, administration, sales and communication);
  • You will lead the finance and administration team;
  • You will oversee the financial activities of the company (including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting) and have a full P&L, B/S, CF scope;
  • You will help measure the company’s performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics;
  • You will oversee operation matters (finance, admin, HR) in country offices (Burundi, DRC, USA);
  • You will be in charge of HR (mainly policy and retention schemes);
  • You will provide support to the Project Team to ensure the timely design and implementation of business strategies, plans and procedures;
  • You will provide support to offers and negotiations with clients;
  • Always on the lookout for ways to help Bluesquare run more smoothly and support its employees, you will look for ways to improve the processes and the business;
  • You will provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the management team (e.g. advising on long-term business and financial planning);
  • You will provide support to the preparation of Board meetings.

Profile:

  • You have a Master degree in Finance or Business;
  • You have at least 7-10 years of experience in a relevant function;
  • You have business and management experience;
  • You are fluent in English and French;
  • You have excellent analytical and communication skills;
  • Calm under pressure you keep a cool head to find solutions;
  • Experience in the international aid/development sector is an asset;
  • You have exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail;
  • You are thrive in a fast-paced environment;
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to get your hands dirty.
