The National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI) seeks a Resident Program Manager to manage its research-based women’s political participation program as well as to assist the Resident Director in carrying out the Institute’s parliamentary strengthening programs in Kyrgyzstan. The Resident Program Manager will help apply public opinion research on gender attitudes and assist women activists, civil society organizations (CSOs), and political leaders in designing evidence-based education campaigns to target gender biases and expand women’s political participation. The Resident Program Manager will also provide technical and management support to the Resident Director who oversees the broader Kyrgyzstan portfolio. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership and management skills, as well as direct experience in political organizing, legislative support and training.
Professional experience in transition societies and sensitive political environments is highly desirable. The position is available immediately.
This position will be based in Bishkek, with frequent travel throughout the country. The Resident Program Manager will report to NDI’s Resident Director.
