iMentor Bay Area is seeking a Director of Development (DoD). Reporting directly to and partnering with the Executive Director, this person will lead a comprehensive development strategy to meet fundraising goals across diverse revenue streams, with a goal of raising $1M in 2021-22.
Alongside the Executive Director, the Director of Development will cultivate and lead key relationships with individuals, mentors, corporations, and institutions, building new relationships for iMentor in the philanthropic landscape and funding sources. This person will lead the Young Executive Board, and partner with the ED in supporting the Regional Advisory Board. They will be responsible for building the pipeline for institutional and individual giving, manage corporate partnerships, apply for grants, and report on and manage grants for the region. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gifts of five figures or more.
The Director of Development will also partner closely with development, communications, research & evaluation, and other staff across iMentor National and its various regions to fundraise for the Bay Area. This includes cross-regional grants and corporate partnerships, inputs into research and program evaluation, participating in marketing campaigns, etc.
This role will support iMentor's ability to raise critical funds that will sustain the organization and expand its impact over the long-term.
