About the job

General objective:

Under the management of the Grants and Partnership Cooridator, the RCO will provide on both contractual and internal reporting high-quality reporting and support on proposal development.

The RCO, in close collaboration with other departments and field bases, will oversee the development of external communication materials aligned with SI’s operational strategy in the country of implementation.

The RCO is part of the coordination team, reports to the Grants and Partnership Coordinator and will be based in Erbil, mainly working on Grants implemented in Iraq and in the North East Areas of Syria.

General responsibilities:

Reviewing, compiling and producing high-quality reports written in English, showcasing the project results for donors and the broader humanitarian community

Support for the development of timely and high-quality proposals

Proactively following up on donor obligations from signing to closing

Development of external communication materials aligned with SI's operational strategy and donor rules and regulations

Main Tasks:

  • Proposal Development
  • Grant Management: Contractual management of donor requirements
  • Donor Relations and external communication
  • Internal communication
  • Compliance
  • Communication

The main challenges:

  • Position covering 2 countries (Iraq and Syria- focus on North East), requiring frequent travel and flexibility
  • quite a wide portfolio of donors with specific donor requirements

Priorities for the 2/3 first months:

  • Contractual and internal reports are due in the first 2/3 months
  • Visibility and Communication materials to produce for the Syria and Iraq mission aligned with donor requirements, SI's standards

Security constraints:

Iraq: Situation is stable and no specific restriction (security and safety regulations adapted to the context still requiring some vigilance)

NES: Security context remains volatile in some parts of North East Syria, implying security and safety rules to be adapted (movement limitation, curfew for international staff, etc)

Your profile

DIPLOMAS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Master's degree in International Relations, International Business, Politics, Social Sciences or other related topics
  • Experience in the humanitarian sector: 0-2 Years
  • Experience in a similar position: 0-2 Years

SKILLS:

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Strong and concise writing skills for report drafting
  • Content development and storytelling
  • Ability to develop clear and compliant visibility materials in line with donor regulations and branding guidelines.
  • Experience with research methods and data analysis

TRANSVERSAL SKILLS:

  • Strong interpersonal skills for managing internal coordination and communication
  • Experience in a multicultural environment
  • Information literacy

LANGUAGES:

  • English (mandatory)
  • Levantine Arabic (an asset)
  • French (an asset - in relation to French donor requirement)
