Sightsavers has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Monitoring professional to join the Inclusion Works programme management team as the programme’s Monitoring Officer. This is a key role in the Inclusion Works project, ensuring the inclusion of people with disabilities in formal employment. The Monitoring Officer will help to strengthen programme monitoring and reporting within the programme.
Reporting to the Monitoring Manager, you will be expected to work in close collaboration with Sightsavers’ Programme Systems and Monitoring Team and consortium partners, supporting the development of creative monitoring and reporting for the Inclusion Works project spanning nations in Africa and Asia (including Bangladesh, Kenya, Nigeria and Uganda) . You will have sound experience of project management and programme monitoring and understand all aspects of a project lifecycle.
The successful candidate will support and coordinate the M&E deliverables for co-creation, project start-up and inception activities as well as the monitoring frameworks for the Inclusion Works programme. You will be responsible for providing support to our country teams on their monitoring practice during project implementation. Demonstrable knowledge of producing analytical reports or communication materials for a wide range of audiences is essential.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level (or possess equivalent work experience) in a relevant field such as monitoring and evaluation, public health, international development or statistics. Experience of working within the international development sector role is advantageous with a strong working knowledge of monitoring and evaluations. Strong written and communications skills are essential along with the ability to manage large, complex pieces of work and to provide key deliverables on time. You will be a problem-solver with effective time management, experience of planning, manipulating data and the ability to work well with stakeholders.
A willingness to travel up to 6 weeks per year on various trips globally is essential.
