FHI 360 is currently recruiting for the position of Deputy Chief of Party, for an anticipated USAID-funded Leadership Activity in Burma. The project will provide leadership training centered around scholarships in the U.S. to improve technical skills (including but not limited to economic affairs), promote tolerance of diversity, and advance Burma’s self-reliance. Burmese nationals are especially encouraged to apply. This position is contingent on project funding.
The Deputy Chief of Party will support the Chief of Party in overseeing project implementation and will provide technical and management leadership to the overall project. S/he will represent the project to external stakeholders including government officials and donors and will supervise project staff to ensure that project activities are completed in a timely manner and are of high technical quality. The Deputy Chief of Party will manage Burma-based sub-grantees and ensure high technical quality and impact bearing deliverables. The Deputy Chief of Party will be based in Yangon and s/he must be willing to travel to other provinces as required.
